Simply wrong. Hoary is _at least_ as stable as Debian Stable (it's older,
more tested). I'd say even Breezy is as stable, but a few people have
upgrade issues from Hoary to Breezy.
Are you having DVD specific problems with yours, or CD too? cdrecord has
issues that are totally unrelated to breezy or Knoppix, and specifically
involve kernel changes.
