As this is an slrn problem (your newsreader) and not gmane, have you
tried fixing the problem, eg:

	http://www.emmanuelebassi.net/slrn/gnupg.sl

Or you could switch to a newsreader capable of managing all sorts of
attachments.  Lars Magne Ingebrigtsen is the main administrator of
gmane, he has also made a newsreader (http://www.gnus.org/) which has
no problems hiding the stuff you don't like.
