 You mean tray? (I'm not using Tomboy, that's why I'm asking) If it's a tray 
icon, well, there should be no problem as tray icons works everywhere.

 Wait, I'll apt-get it on Kubuntu. Oh may, 20Mb of Mono. ;-)

 OK, it runs. You need to ask it to run from tray, see:
