Ubuntuizing source

I'd like to run lots of bleeding-edge packages directly from
CVS, but run them in an Ubuntu-compatible way so that I can
use apt-get to remove them later if such is my wont. Is
there any package that will take a given source tarball,
apply a set of rules to it to make it Ubuntu-compliant, and
install it as an Ubuntu package?

In particular, I'd like to get Firefox Deer Park working. Is
there any way to make it Ubuntuy?
