Bingo.

That's why I consider these arguments virtually useless, because everyone
outside the Linux camp defines an OS as "looks like Windows".  Linux ain't
Windows, never was, never will, and if it does, I'll be one of the first at
that point to desert it for one of the *BSDs or whatever.

This is one of those situations where you will never win by argument, but
Linux itself will win by example in time, regardless of the arguments, as
long as we've got projects like Ubuntu working to make Linux "better" on
the desktop for "ordinary" users.  Use whatever definition for those 2
quoted words that you prefer, as I don't think any 2 people in these
typical debates can even agree on the definitions!  :)
