Hoary xpdf binaries have disappeared

Now readahead has disappeared - both source and binaries.  readahead is 
required by the current Hoary ubuntu-desktop (and kubuntu-desktop).

Someone has "fixed" xpdf by creating links to universe.  I see there are 
similar links for other packages.  This is backwards.  Main should not depend 
upon universe.  Some people only want to mirror main.

Is this buggy pool maintenance software or a hacker?
