CD-Rom Automount?

Here is something else that is strange. I have an MP3 player that
used to auto mount and put an icon on the desktop. This isn't working
anymore.
I upgraded all the packeges on the system and then when I rebooted
next KDE freaked out and I lost all my regular icons on the taskbar.
I kept getting errors about things not working. Then when I rebooted
again, everything seemed ok.
Where in KDE do you tell it to auto mount drives?
