I have Windows on a Different disk, which is not a raid but it might
help you. My Grub config is this:
title Windows XP
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)
root (hd1,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
Windows won't boot unless it thinks it is on the master disk. This is
how I got around. Hope that works for you.
