If you use spamassassin, there is an extremely easy way to have it
perform better: use sa-learn!
You simply need to move all your spam in one folder (or mbox) and give
it to sa-learn to... well... learn. ;-)
I use mbox for my mail so the syntax for me is
sa-learn --spam --mbox ~/Mail/spam
(where ~/Mail/spam is the mbox file where all my spam is)
If spamassassin has false positives (mail recognized as spam but which
aren't), you can use sa-learn to correct it, too
The syntax would be
sa-learn --ham --mbox ~/Mail/Inbox
There you go!
