Cisco VPN client

With me it took a long time and lots of tries to get it working.
It failed on self-compiled kernels.
The following combination worked:
- default kernel 2.6.10-7 i686
- vpnclient-linux-4.6.02.0030-k9
- headers 2.6.10-34 to build the modules against

You may experience problems when loading the newly compiled module. The
issue is known and other distros have reported that they solved it by
changing the order of services at bootup. Basically the vpn-daemon has
to be started prior to the networking services. (Otherwise you won't be
able to load the module.)
I never managed to repeat that on Ubuntu.
Yet I have to shutdown networking completely, start the vpn-daemon,
restart networking. Then I can run the client successfully.
If you succeed to run the daemon at bootup I really would appreciate if
you told us about your configuration.
