Configuring GNOME's write-to-disc

I've been having CD-writing problems for a while, and I
think I just figured out how to solve them: use the burnfree
option in cdrecord.

But I'd prefer not to use cdrecord all the time, because I
want to promote Linux to people who are afraid of the
command line. So my question is: how can I configure the
GNOME 'write to disc' program to pass the appropriate
options to cdrecord (or whatever it's using as a burner)?

Any ideas?
