USB Printer

Kubuntu 5.04 is not properly detecting a HP Laserjet connected via USB. This
is a "real" printer, not a winprinter. the usblp module is loaded, but dmesg
does not show the printer as detected, nor does printconf detect it.

This setup works fine under Debian sid.

lsmod | grep usb
usb_storage 64064 0
usblp 12032 0
usbcore 107384 5 usb_storage,ehci_hcd,usblp,uhci_hcd
scsi_mod 119936 4 sd_mod,usb_storage,sr_mod,sbp2
ide_core 118988 5

From dmesg:
drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: USB Bidirectional printer dev 2 if 0 alt 1
proto 2 vid 0x06CD pid 0x0301
usbcore: registered new driver usblp
drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: v0.13: USB Printer Device Class driver
usb 1-2: USB disconnect, address 2
drivers/usb/class/usblp.c: usblp0: removed
