Oh, how nice, someone with the same problem as me at last ! :o)
Thanks for posting. You are right, I tried Graveman and somehow, it
managed to burn a data CD (needed to be root, though).
I am glad to see that it's not a problem with my hardware, despite being
a bit old now.
And now I think of it, you are double right... I am pretty sure the
Nautilus burner was working in Warty.
I really hope they will fix it for Breezy, as the Nautilus burner is so
much better integrated to the desktop, than having to fire up a
dedicated cd burning app.
The less apps we have to use, the cleaner the system deep down, and the
cleaner the application menus, and the easier for the user.
IMHO Nautilus, as a central part of Gnome, could be a marvelous tool,
but it clearly doesn't get enough development time, progress is too
slow. Sadly you can't force Linux devs around the world to work on
something if they don't feel like it...
All I can hope is that once Ubuntu, hence Gnome becomes extremely
popular and gets used all around the world, interest for Gnome/Nautilus
will increase and development will accelerate somewhat. Well, it unfolds
like this in my dreams anyway... :-/
