Oh, seems you misunderstood me... please give up on this and move on to
something more useful ;o) This ddcprobe problem is apparently only
related to the nForce video adapter, so it will cure itself as soon as I
get round to upgrading the card... let's forget about it.
I do hope that XGI based board will soon become widespread, and that the
driver, being 200% open if I understand well, will be bullet proof and
trouble free, unlike Nvidia....
I am much more worried/annoyed about this kernel that keeps breaking the
TV card and/or USB hotplug, and also my old SCSI CD writer that won't
burn anything and causes the kernel to throw bags of errors
