ntpdate through non-standard port

Dear Ubuntu fellows,

My Ubuntu machine is part of a restricted university network. Of
course I have no access to the univ's firewall settings so normally
ntpdate doesn't work on my system as it requires that port 123 is open
for incomig/outgoing packets and this port is closed in this
environment.

However I know about some high numbered ports left open which I could
use for incoming/outgoing traffic.

My question is that is there a way to tell ntpdate to use port x
instead of the blocked 123? Or maybe a tunnel port 123 through port x?
