Of course it works, but using a kde app in gnome loads kde libs that
would not have been loaded otherwise. These libs take memory space.
That's a good reason to try to avoid kde apps if using gnome (and
vice-versa). Not to mention the desktop integration ubuntu is craving
for... ;-)
