What happened to httpd.conf with Apache2

I just installed apache2 on a new server. When I went
to httpd.conf to add virtual domains, all I found was
this.

# This is here for backwards compatability reasons and
to support
# installing 3rd party modules directly via apxs2,
rather than
#  through the /etc/apache2/mods-{available,enabled}
mechanism.
#
#LoadModule mod_placeholder
/usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_placeholder.so

I checked and there is no
/usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_placeholder.so on my
server.

I am confused, how do I set up virtual hosts on this
server?
