I tried this having loaded alsa-oss using synaptic. I ran 'aoss pingus'
without the quotes  and the pingus window opened which was black and
blank. The window would not close. There was an error message as
follows:-

PingusError: Couldn't open /home/norman/.pingus/config.

Any other ideas please.
