I found my answer. It's like the above.

I was cruising the Ubuntu forums Hoary Tips and Tricks section. I
followed the instructions in this tip:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=32063

Now I have sound events AND when I use Firefox to surf to my internet
radio station web site, the RealPlay plugin works too! Sound events
don't work while I'm listening to the "radio" station, but that ideal
for me!

NOTE: There is also a super way to make your onscreen fonts look sharper
than Windows here:
