Just recd your last, and thank you for getting back.

"Does it make things clearer," you ask? Yes and no.

As have many others, you appear to be heavily employing Evolution's "EMAIL" abililties, and it is the "CONTACT" abililties of the software which is of significant interest on this end, not the EMAIL side; still haven't gotten Ubuntu to recognize my external ZOOM modem.

To convert, or better, import ASCII CSV values, AI isn't needed. There have been "primative" PIM software(s) prior to Evolution, one of which is/was Lotus Orgnizer. It works, rather well but no where as smooth as Evolution appears to in that regard but one strong point for the Lotus software was the importing of data $trings from old database softwares into Lotus Organizer. Even by today's standards, it's rather well done and over the years, even prior to discovering Lotus' Orgnizer, I've seen other varients of this file importing with different softwares.

Aside from what may be a significant use on your part with Evolution and it's Email capabilities, are you/have you made much use of the "CONTACT side" of the PIM software? On this end, in all probability I will be making use of the "Email side" of the software but right now, it is the CONTACT part which is of interst.

Again, thanks for getting back.
