Hoary, Ugly fonts in some apps...

I've been running into this problem too.



I found a good solution 'here' (http://tinyurl.com/a8wp5) 



The HOWTO suggests that some apps don't do anti-aliasing and so it is
important that you tell X a dpi value that you actually have fonts
for.



As per the article, if you put 



Xft.dpi:100



in ~/.Xresources and restart X things should look a lot better.



Worked for me anyway ;)
