This is SO wrong it is difficult to see where the poster is coming from.
I guess if Matt asks ONE question and he and only he wishes to see the 
replies, top-posting might suit.

Otherwise, readers obviously wish to know what the question was, before 
reading the answer.
This becomes even more important if the posts comprise a discussion of some 
kind.  Top posters put the whole discussion sequence out of chronological 
order.

Not everyone is using Outlook or Mail, either.

The correct, sensible and proven system is
