	Yes, I am certain it is plugged into a serial port.  Macs of
this vintage used serial printers.  This printer had been used by the
donor on a Mac, and, as I said, the printer worked as expected under the
Mac OS.

	Yes, that's what I thought would happen.  dmesg did not show
anything to indicate that it did, however.

	There is no parallel port on this machine.  And, yes, I do
recognize that most people are PC users which has parallel ports. :)

	Well, I've been digging around on the web for a while now
without any success, but I'll keep at it.  It may be, as someone said in
another thread, I'll just have to live without readily available
printing. And scanning.
