Hi Norman looking at the way --component= seems to work, I guess the 
simplest reason is future proofing. Internet version opens mail. Office 
version currently opens mail, but in future versions there may be 
different functionality in a default load versus a component load.

Other than that I can't think of a reason, and even then this could be 
done when needed.

Oh well, it's one hypothesis :-)
