Hello all!
I have couple weird problem(s?) and have thought of different
solutions to fix it but nothing. The thing is that I'm trying to
install Ndiswrapper via apt-get or synaptic, whichever one I can but
to no luck.
Following the http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/ site, I added
-------------------------------------------
deb http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/debian ./
-------------------------------------------
to my sources.lst. OK so I sudo apt-get update and what not and I get
the following:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Ign http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net Release.gpg
Ign http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net Release
Ign http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net Packages
Hit http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net Packages
-------------------------------------------------------------------
sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper-source
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package ndiswrapper-source
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I have no idea what "Ign" (I'm guessing Ignore but why?) or
"Release.gpg" means. And wow how I have searched the ubuntu forums
and wiki. They do have excellent guides and howtos to install
ndiswrapper but none of them talk about this problem. I even looked
for a way to turn of gpg in apt but no luck. This is probably the 2nd
time in my life that google hasn't helped me out here.
Sorry for the long post but I'm really happy that ndiswrapper supports
amd64 so I can finally get my broadcom wireless chip up and running.
Thank you for taking the time to read and any help would be greatly
appreciated!!
