error installing burn on hoary

I installed hoary some time back, and have kept it up-to-date with
apt-get. (FWIW, the developers get applause and appreciation from me for
their excellent work!) Today I tried to install burn, the command-line cd
burner. It failed because the version of python it was looking for was not
there. Specifically:

Setting up burn (0.4.2-3) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/burn.postinst: line 20: /usr/bin/python2.3: No such
file or directory
dpkg: error processing burn (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

hoary has python2.4 installed. "apt-cache show" says to report bugs to
this list, so I am. :)

As long as I'm on the subject: I picked burn because I'm running ubuntu
on an old Mac with rather limited -- but adequate -- capabilities.
I'd appreciate any comment on whether burn is going to be a good choice
or if there's a better alternative.

Many thanks.
