does anyone know of a usb wireless network apater that just works on ubuntu?
i have a d-link dwl-122 which i can get to work by installing
linux-wlan-ng, playing with a load of text files, and starting manually.
but the connection dies fairy quickly and then the device wont work with
out being unpluged and then plugged back in and then ifdowned then
ifuped. so i cant make a script to bring it back up when it dies.
there must be something that works better.
if not is there a pcmcia card with an external antenna that can be moved
away from the card. or will the linux-wlan-ng drivers be intergrated
with the rest of the networking system
thanks
sam
