Latest update to gdm and/or artwork

Another positive vote for the splash screen.

The new login screen looks OK.  It has the same issues the previous one had:

* There are lighter colored boxes surrounding the user name prompt,
and the buttons in the middle of the screen.  I am not sure if this is
intentional, but to me it looks like an overlay with colors that don't
quite match the background.

* The button text is very small at my resolution (1024x768).  I can
only imagine   they are smaller at higher resolutions.
