kernel update question

Synaptic is offering to update my kernel from 2.6.8.1-16.11 to
2.6.8.1-16.12

I am running the nvidia graphics driver via
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.8.1.3-7, but this does not seem to be
marked for an update.

Will accepting the kernel update adversely affect my ability to run the
nvidia driver? Or should there be no problem?
