Mounting USB flash disk synchronously

Hi,
it there a way to make hotplug mount USB disks with sync option? Manual
for mount says that "the sync option today has effect only for ext2,
ext3 and ufs" does this mean that vfat disks can't be mounted
synchronously?

If so what can I do to prevent data loss when my disk is accidentally
unplugged while some data is still hasn't been written to it?
