I've downloaded the hoary-live-i386.iso from 10th March 2005 and got
the following problem:
after choosing the language, location and keyboard I get the following error:

There was a problem reading data from the CDROM. Please make sure it
is in the drive. If retrying does not work, you should check the
integrity of your CDROM.
Failed to copy file from CDROM. Retry?

Which doesn't work when I retry.

Checking the CD-ROM(s) integrity gives:

The ./pool/main/l/linux-source-2.6.10/acpi-modules-2.6.10-4-386-di_2.6.10-25.2_i386.udeb
file failed the MD5 checksum verification. Your CD-ROM or this file
may have been corrupted.

So, I checked the iso downloaded, it's fine:

carl at excalibur:~/download/iso/ubuntu$ md5sum MD5SUMS
18649ad8c8cfb774b60c4892488d8b0b MD5SUMS
carl at excalibur:~/download/iso/ubuntu$ md5sum -cv MD5SUMS
hoary-install-amd64.iso md5sum: can't open hoary-install-amd64.iso
hoary-install-i386.iso md5sum: can't open hoary-install-i386.iso
hoary-install-ia64.iso md5sum: can't open hoary-install-ia64.iso

hoary-live-powerpc.iso FAILED
md5sum: 1 of 2 file(s) failed MD5 check

Then, I checked the files after mounting the CD-ROM:
carl at excalibur:/media/cdrom1$ md5sum -cv md5sum.txt
./dists/hoary/main/debian-installer/binary-i386/Packages OK
./dists/hoary/main/debian-installer/binary-i386/Packages.gz OK
./dists/hoary/restricted/debian-installer/binary-i386/Packages OK
                                          error processing
./casper/filesystem.cloop: failed in buffer_read(fd): mdfile:
Input/output error
md5sum: 1 of 219 file(s) failed MD5 check

I tried to burn another one from another burner and it gives the same error.

Any idea on what's wrong?
