2.6.8.1-5-k7 is the kernel version, not Ubuntu's version... Hoary/5.04

I would expect that any of the r* remote tools are not to be trusted.
Same goes for ftp and telnet.

If you've actually got rlogin installed (you probably need the
rsh-client package installed), I believe you should be able to "sudo
update-alternatives --config rlogin".
