Grub versus Boot Manager

I've done something similar, but only because grub wouldn't work in my
MBR.

Basically I resinstalled grub boot loader in to my Linux partition
/dev/hda2 instead of the MBR and modified the menu.lst to be hidden and
have a timeout of 3 seconds.

I then installed the Boot Manager and it was able to pick up XP and the
bootloader of the Linux partition.

This way If I want to do anything with the Kernel I can still access it
through grub menus but the main startup is handled through the
BootManager.
