Hello,

I'm trying to configure my DWL-G520 PCI wifi card. After having installed
Hoary Hedgehog with the kernel 2.6.10-4-amd64-generic. The card is well
detected and the module loaded.

But I have problem with the connection to my router. Sometimes it connects,
sometimes not. Sometimes I can connect using WPA, sometimes not. Same thing
with WEP.

Sometimes the connection is perfect. But at this moment, I can ping the router
with a time of 10.000ms and a loss of 77% of the packet. With my second PC
(with DWL-G650 pcmcia & Debian testing) just next to the first, the ping is
perfect < 2ms and I never have connection problems.

More over, with WEP, if I do a "iwlist ath0 key", I get something like
ath0 3 keys sizes: 40, 104, 128 vits
    4 keys available :
  [1] : [snip]
  [2] : off
  [3] : [snip]
  [4] : [snip]

Why is the key [2] off ? On my debian computer, it is not the case.

Has someone an idea to solve this problem ?

If possible, I would like to stay with packages from ubuntu and not recompile
my own kernel and the source of the madwifi drivers (what I have done on my
Debian testing).
