No sound when playing .wmv files

I have both of these problems ! some vmw's play the video fine but the
sound is horrible, other files play the sund fine... but no ivdeo to be
seen anywhere :-/

I don't think we are missing any library, otherwise we would not be able
to play any vmw whatsoever. So I just try to be patient and wait for
Gstreamer to replace all the numerous libraries we have to play with now
(xine, sox, mpg123, win32codec, what have you), with something unique
that handles everything, and that just works. Hopefully for Hoary+1...
