I'm not at a ubuntu system now, so someone migt need to korekt the 
mountpoint. But do basicly this:

Boot and insert a floppy

# mount /mnt/floppy
# cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /mnt/floppy
# cp /var/log/Xorg.0.log /mnt/floppy
# umount /mnt/floppy

Take the floppy somewher You can lanch a browser and atach those files 
to the bug.
