Little annoyance with rhythmbox

I'm giving rhythmbox a whirl for a while because I like its better
gnome integration compared with xmms. I've configured firefox to
launch rhythmbox for M3U and PLS links and that works, as long as
rhythmbox is already running. However, if it's not, rhythmbox never
displays and I have to run "killall rhythmbox." Anyone else seeing
this? Is there a argument I need to use to get it to launch correctly
from an HTTP link?
