[Hoary] USB thumbdrive not mounting...

My external HD was recognized without a hitch, but the thumbdrive I
keep my homework on isn't getting automounted. It's just like in warty
- dmesg output's normal, except that the drive isn't mounted. It's
worked fine on other Linux systems. A quick scan of bugzilla hasn't
found me anything, but maybe my search terms aren't  well-chosen.
usb-storage reports its device scan complete, and then... nothing.
