Problem...Hoary preview Live CD on Laptop

you're looking on the CD itself?  Or in the filesystem created when
trying to run the LiveCD.  They are only in the later; you will  not
find them in the former.

The first one is the config file created when the X server attempt to
configure itself for a Live session.  THe 2nd one is the log  file of
what it is trying to do while doing this.
