Latest Hoary and Skype

Hi all, 

Skype has been working fine for me on Hoary, but today I noticed that
it's not working. Dialing echo123 never connects and I have to kill
skype. The only thing I can think of that has changed (other than the
70MB daily downloads, of course :)) is that polypaudio has been
abandoned and we went back to esound. I wonder if polypaudio has left
some configuration changes that now no longer work. Can anyone confirm
problems with skype on Hoary?
