Problem installing Array5, Array6 and 20050309.2

I am trying to install Ubuntu on a Sony vaio
VGC-RA830G but I'm having problems with the installer.

Array5's installer can't detect the cdrom. Array6's installer is
affected by bug=7213 [1],  and the 20050309.2's installer display a
loop with  some usb device related  message  (ehci_hcd usb ...)

The message is from the top of my head, I'll update the entry and/or
create a bug report when I get home. Note that i can't unplug the usb
card reader, which will probably solve the 20050309.2's installer
problem, since it's built-in.
