I tried, and have a similar problem. The movie starts playing one frame
per second, then suddendly it goes like two times faster than it
should ...

On the standard output:

$ No accelerated IMDCT transform found
$ Stream with high frequencies VQ coding


With another dvd the speed is right, but the aspect ratio is wrong and
you can't change it.

Another one worked fine.

In both cases only 

$ No accelerated IMDCT transform found
