Reiserfs vs ext3

Generally ReiserFS is one of the fastest FS and ext3 is relatively
slow. But this means that on Reiser your system will boot in 43 sec
and on ext3 this will take 44-45 sec. Not very noticeable for a user.

In the past Reiser had some severe bugs which led data loss on a few systems.

I think ext3 is safer to use. If you are a speed lover consider ext2 -
it is fast enough because the lack of journaling but will take longer
to check during bootup in case of fs damage.
