I CAN'T INSTALL UBUNTU LINUX ON MY COMPUTER WHY WON'T IT????

yes the cd-rom is spinning it works fine doing other things it is suposted 
to do. when it tries to install linux it brings up an help screen with 
different options to install. but none of the options work to install, it 
just toggles between intalling and linux and booting windows xp.
