Just got the offending issue. Aside from the obscurity of what's on the 
dvd, I also found the presentation of Ubuntu - as a very commercial 
distro, "polished for the corporate user" (p5) - infuriating. There's 
nary a mention of the community, of ease-of-use, or even what the word 
ubuntu means!

Never a very good magazine, but it really is going downhill since the 
new editor took over.
