Both files look totally fine to me.  I googled a bit and found that over
time there were quite a few problems with xv on the Trident
Cyberblade /i1. One of the reports was quite interesting as it was
created by a kernel misconfiguration. On the reporter's laptop, the main
RAM and video RAM were shared, and the amount of memory was misstated in
the kernel, leading to random lockups:

I just tell this to illustrate that while xv should in fact work with
this card, there can be endless possibilities for why it does not. I
don't have this card myself, and have no idea what else to check. It
would probably be a good idea to file a bug against xorg.
