Just smiled at the ABC comment.....in the computer industry, depending
almost moment by moment, someone is gonna' hate something. 

My compaq x1000 widescreen laptop installed with NO issues and is the
stablest ubuntu platform in the house right now. (that includes 2 amd
boxes with 2 different mobo's both listed as linux friendly.

So just to counter (a little) the last poster.......at least one compaq
product was worth buying. :D
