using local Ubuntu mirror PART 2

Yup, that's right - BUT I have another problem. Some files Synaptic says 
are there, aren't.
Guessing, they ARE on the main Ubuntu repository.  Is there a way I can 
get Synaptic to look first at my local mirror and then (if it can't 
find the file) look at the main Ubuntu repository?
