mozplugger or mplayerplug-in?

Hi,

What do Ubuntu users recommend as the best multimedia plugin for Mozilla
Firefox? I really do not want to use Totem with mozplugger as I have
found Totem to be rather on the flacky side. 

I gather that my options would be to either use mozplugger with Xine or
mplayerplug-in with MPlayer or am I totally wrong and mozplugger works
with both Xine and MPlayer or alternatively I can have both installed? 

Please help a rather confused new Ubuntu user!
