The company that I work for are currently asking my collegue to
produce a solution to track all the IT equipment, components, software
and licences through a web based database system. I have looked
arround and found IRM

Does anybody have any experience with this or can anyone suggest
another solution that is free / cheap (public analysts budgets are not
big!). Is it a usable system and easy enough so that when i take it to
my boss he can see for himself how much easier and quicker it will be
to use and adapt than programming one from scratch.
